The Hong Kong Cast

Albert Ho Chun-yan 何俊仁 (pinyin: He Junren). Democratic Party chairman and pan-democrat Chief Executive (CE) candidate 2012

Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee 葉劉淑儀 (pinyin: Ye Liu Shuyi). Co-founder and chairwoman of New People’s Party. As Secretary for Security, attracted controversy in 2003 for supporting unpopular ‘Article 23‘ legislation.

C Y Leung 梁振英 (Canto: Leung Chun-ying, pinyin: Liáng Zhènyīng). CE candidate in 2012, and former Executive Council Convener. Property magnate, son of a Hong Kong policeman.

Henry Tang Ying-yen 唐英年 (Canto: Tòhng Yìngnìhn /pinyin: Táng Yīngnián). Used to be front-runner in 2012 CE race. Now looking less likely. Former Chief Secretary for Administration, and son of a Shanghainese textiles magnate.

Andy Tsang Wai-hung 曾偉雄 (pinyin: Zeng Weixiong). Commissioner of Police, also known as 一哥, ‘Elder Brother’.

Donald Tsang Yam-kuen 曾荫权 (pinyin: Zeng Yinquan). Chief Executive 2004-2012

Jasper Tsang Yok-sing 曾鈺成 (pinyin: Zeng Yucheng). Possible CE candidate 2012 following Henry Tang scandals. Legislative Council president 2008- and founding chairman of the pro-Beijing party, Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB).

Tung Chee-hwa 董建华 (pinyin: Dong Jianhua). Wildly unpopular first Chief Executive of Hong Kong, 1997-2004

Hi, I apologise, I am only a Mandarin speaker and a bit lacking in my ability to do romanisations of Cantonese. In any case, this site is unfortunately on ice at the moment due to other commitments – but thanks for stopping by.
